Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about how HYDRAX works or whether it fits your irrigation system? We’ve
compiled answers to the most common questions to help you understand installation, operation, and benefits—quickly and
clearly.
What problem does HYDRAX solve?
HYDRAX corrects sunken sprinkler heads that cause uneven watering and turf damage by restoring precise sprinkler height
without digging or turf disruption.
How is HYDRAX different from traditional sprinkler adjustments?
Traditional methods require excavation around live irrigation lines. HYDRAX uses controlled water pressure to adjust
sprinkler height, eliminating digging, downtime, and surface damage.
How does HYDRAX lift the sprinkler head?
HYDRAX uses amplified water pressure through a high-pressure tube and an integrated release valve. Opening the valve
lifts the sprinkler; closing it locks the height securely in place.
How much can HYDRAX lift a sprinkler?
HYDRAX allows precise height adjustment of up to 60 mm.
What if the sprinkler is lifted too high?
HYDRAX can be easily reset, allowing the adjustment process to be repeated until the correct height is achieved.
Does HYDRAX prevent sprinklers from sinking again?
Yes. Once the valve is closed, HYDRAX holds the sprinkler firmly in position to prevent gradual sinking over time.
Is HYDRAX safe for existing irrigation systems?
Yes. HYDRAX installs inline between the water main and sprinkler head and is designed to operate within standard
irrigation pressure ranges.
Will installation disrupt turf or play?
No. HYDRAX requires no excavation, so turf remains intact and normal operations can continue during installation and
adjustment.
Who is HYDRAX designed for?
HYDRAX is designed for golf courses, sports fields, and large turf facilities managing many in-ground sprinklers.
How long does sprinkler adjustment take?
Once installed, adjusting sprinkler height with HYDRAX takes only minutes.
Does HYDRAX require ongoing maintenance?
No. HYDRAX is a set-and-hold solution and requires no regular maintenance under normal conditions.
Can HYDRAX be retrofitted to existing systems?
Yes. HYDRAX is specifically designed to retrofit existing irrigation systems without redesign or replacement.
